The movie and the book

The story is basically the same in the movie,, though the identity of the killer is not the same and many details were of course skipped, but that is to be expected in a movie adaptation of a book. Two main themes appear in the book : evil and faith....

Evil

The theme of Evil is deeply explored in Blood Work. Crimmins is supposed to be the living representation of Evil in the book . Crimmins has well played his plan. He has trapped McCaleb. McCaleb is forced to work on Gloria's case thanks to Crimmins' cleverness....
